We don't use the word lightly. Here's what it means in practice.

We visit before we buy
Every origin on our list has been walked by at least one of us. We cup at origin, meet the pickers, and understand the processing station before any purchase order is signed.

We pay above market
Our minimum floor is 30% above the C-price. For micro-lots and geisha cultivars the premium is higher still. Good coffee costs what it costs.

Long relationships
Nine of our twelve farms have supplied us for three or more seasons. Continuity means we can ask for specific fermentation protocols and they trust us enough to try.
